We've never had a problem with coats being too short for my husband's arms before, but the sleeves on this coat are a bit too short. I think the coat has a bad cut.

"Thick WARM coat! Nice!!" 2009-12-14

I bought this coat for my daughter and am so glad I did. It is very thick and warm and she loves it! I don't see any problem with the snaps at all. She has a gap down coat and she tells me this one is warmer. Very well made and you can't beat the price. The only thing I can say possibly negative is that the color purple is darker than shown; more of a plum color. All in all, great deal!!

I looked at this coat at a store and had my daughter try it on. The coat generally was nice, especially the reversible feature. However, the sleeves are short and the snaps that go over the zipper are just waiting to tear off when being undone. I found a nice Pacific Trail coat which was made with allover quality, and perfect sleeve length.

I'm not a ski patrol person. I don't want to spend 300$+ on a HH jacket. At the same time, I am sort of over buying a 60 dollar 4 in 1 jacket yearly from one of the megastores, only to have it crap out on me a few months later.

This Free Country jacket seems to fit the bill just fine. At 105 including 3.99 one day shipping, it's a very versatile jacket, and much warmer than the ones you would find at target or walmart. I wish the hood were a little tighter fitting, as with the little cinches it still flaps around in the wind sometimes. However, I plan on wearing a hat when it gets very cold, so no real complaints.

It's dipped into the 30's here in Chicago, and I still just use the outer jacket; there's been no need to break out the inner shell just yet. One of the upper zippers is a little finicky at times, but I rarely store things in there anyway.

If you're a hardcore wintersports person, I would look to get something nicer, like an HH jacket, but if you live in an area where the coldest it gets is 20 or 30, you'll be perfectly satisfied with this one.

Haven't worn it yet, but it's a nice looking coat. Generous cut as I bought an XL and it's a litte too big, I'm a 14, the sleeve comes to the top of my fingers and I'm average height. Green is not as dark as the picture appears.
